This year it’s been great to see a number of Norfolk Terriers featuring in the Group placings, and Leeds added two more to the list. Ruth Gee’s puppy WATERCROFT BROWN SUGAR took Puppy Group 2 – he is by Birte Wolleson’s dog Marshmallow Schoko Drops, out of Watercroft Dream Topping. Karen Hurrion’s seasoned performer CH VALENTINES CHERRY CRUMBLE (Ch Belleville Premonition – Tyark Treacle) took Veteran Group 4 – the second year in a row she’s been placed, as she won this Group last year. Congratulations to both Ruth and Karen!
There are no CCs on offer for the breed at this show, so a smaller entry is usually the case. Judge Joanne Vickers had 8 dogs and 8 bitches to go over, with no absentees at all, which is good to see.
Ruth Gee’s Watercroft kennel had yet another very successful day, taking the vast majority of the top placings. WATERCROFT CALLING TIME (Ch Strathinver Sea The Stars – Watercroft Top Tipple) was awarded Best Dog from the Open Class, with the Junior Dog class providing Res Best Dog in the shape of Andrea Smith’s JAVIDEL DESPICABLE MAY (Ch Watercroft Chilli Pepper – Ch Javidel Definitely Maybe). This is a repeat of the placings at Blackpool.
The Best Bitch also came from the Open class, as WATERCROFT GOLD DUST (Ch Kinsridge Cash Back – Ch Watercroft Top Tia) continued her recent form, having gained her Champion title at East of England earlier in the month. The Junior WATERCROFT PINK FIZZ (Ch Strathinver Sea The Stars – Watercroft Name Your Tipple) took the Res Best Bitch.
