If you don’t want a young puppy, but would prefer something older, then they can sometimes be available for re-homing through two routes:
Rescue: this is where a Norfolk needs a new home because of circumstances such as bereavement, change of family circumstances or, occasionally, incompatibility. See Rescue and Welfare under The Club for further information.
Breeders will sometimes wish to rehome an older dog or slightly older puppies that they no longer wish to show or breed with. These are ‘rehomes’ and not ‘rescues’. Contact breeders on the Club’s Breeder List, just as you would to buy a puppy.
Re-homed Norfolks usually settle extremely well.
