After the last couple of years, it was so great to be back at the NEC, but it was clear that world events were very much in the forefront of everyone’s mind.  It was not lost on most exhibitors I think that we were very lucky to be worrying about showing our dogs and not worrying about our family, homes and life itself!   The blue and yellow ribbons being sported by most exhibitors was evidence that those in Ukraine were clearly in our thoughts.    Visitor numbers and trade stands did seem to be down on normal but, as in 2020, this actually made it more pleasant to walk around and do a little retail therapy without feeling as if you were fighting against a tide of human beings coming in the opposite direction.

 

The Norfolk Terrier Club Stand, managed so brilliantly by Gina and Dorothy Dorkins, yet again took the First Prize for the Best Club Stand in the Terrier Group, an amazing sixth year in a row, so huge congratulations to them both.

 

In the show ring, Julie Moyes had a good entry of 21 dogs making 24 entries, and 32 bitches making 33 entries.  There were 10 absentees overall.   Congratulations to Ruth Gee, whose Watercroft kennel very nearly had a clean sweep of the main awards!
