Shows now come thick and fast, as exactly a week after Southern Counties on Saturday 10th June was Three Counties, held at their own showground outside Malvern. Sadly no longer part of the agricultural show, so no more milk available for puppies which used to be offered as now the dog show is held a week earlier. Garry Mason, a Norwich specialist, judged Norfolks, and he drew an entry of 36 on paper, with 13 dogs in the ring, less one absentee, and 23 bitches with three absent.
Carrying on the Jaeva successes last week and at Bath, Andrew Gullick & Kate Tate again did the double with the Dog CC and Best of Breed in ARDERRY PENNY RED TO JAEVA. He is bred by Debbie Mounfield by Our Ruby Rascal at Jaeva out of her Arderry Penny For Your Thoughts, and this was his 2nd CC.
Ruth Gee’s CH WATERCROFT CHILLI PEPPER won the RCC today, this was only the second time he has been out this year, he was sired by Ch Kinsridge Top Gun, his dam being Watercroft Hot Spice.
Black & tan junior bitch JAEVA BLUE LAGOON was selected to win her first CC. Bred by Martin Phillips she is by Ch/Int Ch Jaeva Made In Gold (by Ch Kinsridge Top Gun – Jaeva Fancy That) out of Jaeva Miss Dynamite (Ch Kinsridge Cash Back – Jaeva Pardon Me).
The bitch RCC was a newcomer to high honours, with Phil Davies & Miss Lucy Dixon’s PERRISBLU PRICILLA. A red bitch, bred by Phil, she was born in September 2014, sired by Villassa Morrello (Wharfvalley Diamond Bright at Moortop x Ch Valentines Cherry Crumble); her dam is Nordach Lets Dance, by Titbit Twix at Nordach, a Ch Jiffy The Sky’s the Limit dog, out of Nordach Step In Time.
This partnership had more success too when their black & tan PERRISBLU TANZANITE won Best Puppy at her first championship show aged 10 months. She is sired by Ch Blakens Pay Back out of Perrisblu Playtime, who is by Villassa Morrello but out of Villassa Sweet Deal, a daughter of Ch Belleville Lord Angel.
