BOSTON AND DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY
SUNDAY 7th JANUARY 2018
BEST DOG and BEST OF BREED: Ch Arderry Penny Red to Jaeva
RES BEST DOG: Brickin Quite By Chance
BEST BITCH: Watercroft Top Totty
RES BEST BITCH and BEST PUPPY: Watercroft Pink Fizz
Helen Bakewell drew an entry of 23 at the first show of 2018. Luckily there were no snowstorms to contend with on this occasion, so the absentee rate wasn’t too bad, with 16 actually present. The two main winners from the Club’s Christmas Show in December started the new year as they finished the old one: Gullick and Van-Stuivenberg’s Ch Arderry Penny Red to Jaeva getting Best Dog and Best of Breed, and Ruth Gee’s Watercroft Pink Fizz taking Res Best Bitch/Best Puppy. She was pipped to the Best Bitch spot by Watercroft Top Totty. Jill Stevenson was delighted to be awarded Res Best Dog with one of her youngsters, Brickin Quite by Chance, as he was really just there to “get his head in the right place” as Jill put it to me – he is by Watercroft Good Fortune at Brickin, so another placing for Ruth, sort of, making it a very good day for her.
Sadly, no placings in the groups for our breed winners though.
