The show circuit rolled back over the border for the second Scottish show of the year. It is a long trek for the majority of Norfolk exhibitors but the showground at Springwood Park in Kelso is a lovely venue, on the banks of the River Tweed. The weather however has a tendency to be less than lovely and it was the same this year leading up to the show. The day of the Terrier Group however was not too bad from all accounts.
Bill Gray had an entry of 12 dogs and 17 bitches, with only 3 absentees. He found his Best of Breed in the Open Dog Class, in Jill Stevenson’s CH BRICKIN POT OF PICKLE (Ch Watercroft In a Pickle x Brickin Wild Ivy) and it was great to see that once again we had a Norfolk in the Group placings as well, with “Neville” going on to gain the Group 4 placing. It was well worth the long trip for Jill therefore!
Karen Hurrion’s VILLASSA JACK BE QUICK (Am Ch Max-Wells Union Jack at Villassa – Villassa Gold N’Delight), also from the Open Dog class, gained another RDCC, following on from his similar success at SKC last month.
BLAKENS LOOK NO FURTHER (Ch Blakens I Look To You x Ch Blakens Sugar Candy Kisses) took the Bitch CC from the Junior Bitch Class, and BELLEVILLE OVATION (Allright Highland Moon x Belleville Constellation) secured yet another RBCC for Cathy Thompson Morgan. She must be wondering if that all important third CC will ever come!
BELLEVILLE BACK TO BLACK (Ch Belleville Seduction – Ch Allright Black Bess) continued her recent run of top placings getting another Best Puppy.
