Terriers were judged on Saturday 30th September, the usual date of our championship show which was changed to follow the celebrations of the Midland Norfolk Terrier Association in October. Driffield no longer has CCs, thus the entry was much reduced, with only 5 dogs being judgcd out of an entry of 10, and ten bitches from an entry of 17.
Mr Gerald Cox judged Norfolks, and his choice for Best Dog & Best of Breed was CH ARDERRY PENNY ROYAL TO JAEVA (breeding above), with Best Bitch going to another Martin Phillips bred JAEVA KEEN AS MUSTARD, (Ch Jiffy Golden Go To Jaeva (imp) x Jaeva Rose). Andrew Gullick showed both dogs, the former he owns with Mrs G Van Stuivenberg and the bitch in partnership with Kate Tate.
Ruth Gee’s kennel were to the fore with the other major placings, Reserve Best Dog to WATERCROFT CALLING TIME (Ch Strathinver Sea The Stars – Watercroft Top Tipple) and Reserve Best Bitch and Best Puppy to WATERCROFT GOLD DUST (Ch Kinsridge Cash Back – Ch Watercroft Top Tia).
