With Coronavirus around, it was touch and go as to whether Crufts would even go ahead this year, but go ahead it did! It did seem as if visitor numbers were down a little on previous years, but this actually made it much more pleasant for those of us that did attend as it was actually possible to walk round the Trade Stands in comfort without feeling as if you were fighting against a tide of human beings coming in the opposite direction. There certainly didn’t seem to be much of a reduction in numbers around the Discover Dogs booth, or spectators around the Norfolk ring though, which was great.
In the show ring, Di Jenkins had a great entry of 33 dogs and 30 bitches, and there were only 11 absentees which, in the circumstances, was amazing. The Dog CC, Bitch CC and Best Veteran placings were the same as last year; see below for full results and some lovely photographs of the main winners, courtesy of Ann Johnsen. The Norfolk Terrier Club Stand, managed so brilliantly by Gina and Dorothy Dorkins, yet again took the First Prize for the Best Club Stand in the Terrier Group, an amazing fifth year in a row, so huge congratulations to them both.
